APC Relying On Military To Rig Rivers Rerun – Wike

Rivers State governor, Nyesom Wike, has alleged that the All Progressives Congress (APC) is relying on the strength of the military to rig the March 19, 2016 national and state assembly rerun election in the state.

This is just as the APC candidate for Rivers south-east senatorial district, Senator Magnus Abe, has condemned the destruction of his campaign billboards and posters by suspected members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), ahead of the visit of the governor to Bori, headquarters of Khana local government area yesterday.

Wike, who spoke yesterday at Bori, during the grand finale of the PDP campaign rally for Rivers south-east senatorial district, called on supporters of the party in the state to protect their votes during the rerun.

He said, “Why are the leaders of the APC running away from  election after their victory at the tribunal? They have refused to campaign. All they do is to boast that that they will flood the state with soldiers who will rig the elections.

“We have a mass movement of Rivers people who represent an army of voters. They will subdue the rigging army imported by Amaechi. ”

Meanwhile, Senator Abe, has called on security agents to apprehend those who masterminded the destruction of his campaign billboards in Bori.

…Wike Lacks Capacity To Govern Rivers – Amaechi

Former Rivers State Governor and minister of transportation, Hon. Rotimi Amaechi has accused his successor Governor  Wike of lacking the political will and capacity to govern the state.

Amaechi made the accusation on Sunday at Rumueme, Obio/Akpor LGA during a rally organised by APC ahead of the upcoming national and state assembly elections scheduled to hold this weekend.

He said, “Wike lacks capacity to govern. Somebody who just knows how to steal money is a bushman. Wike said, am corrupt. He should bring evidence to show. I will bring evidence to show that Wike is corrupt.
